SBA: Cash Grants Available to Help Small Businesses Increase Exports

The U.S. Small Business Administration is providing $30 million in grants to states, territories, and the District of Columbia, to help increase exporting by small businesses during the next 12 months. The grants were authorized by the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010, under the State Trade and Export Promotion Program (STEP).
The STEP program, launched in March, aligns with President Obama’s National Export Initiative. The President’s initiative calls for doubling U.S. exports in five years – and in so doing, supporting two million jobs. The program provides federal government funding for 65 to75 percent of program costs, with states supplying the remainder.

made the Inc. 500|5000 list of fastest growing privately-held firms in
America. With this achievement Portfolio Creative joins a select list of
enterprises who have sustained steady growth over time, many of which
have gone on to become nationally known brands. This year the company
was ranked 3611 on the list, with a 45-percent growth rate over the past
three years. The firm is 101 overall in the human resources sector.
It is one of only six companies in Columbus to have made the list for
each of the past three years.

Portfolio Creative Ranked 16th Fastest Growing Staffing Firm in U.S.

Portfolio Creative was recently ranked the 16th fastest growing
staffing firm in the U.S. by Staffing Industry Analysts, an
international independent research organization. To make the list,
firms had to have over $1 million in annual revenues in 2006 and a 15%
or more compound annual growth rate. Portfolio Creative's annual growth
rate was 29.65%. It is the only Ohio-based firm and the only staffing
firm focused on the marketing and creative sector to be ranked in 2011.
