UPDATE ON H.R. 4213
On July 22, 2010, the House and Senate passed a significantly revised H.R. 4213. The original bill contained a section that would have increased taxes for S Corporation professional services businesses. All sections except for the section that extends unemployment benefits were removed from the bill that was passed. So, for now, there is no further concern with regard to this bill for professional service S Corporations.
